Frontier Airlines wants to bring Southwest Airlines over to their carrier with an offer to get Frontier Miles Elite Gold status.
Frontier Airlines is making another play at Southwest flyers who may be reconsidering their loyalty with the “LUV” carrier.

The airline is now offering all Southwest A-Tier elite members the opportunity to match to Frontier Miles Elite Gold with a $40 fee.

Offer Available to Any Level Rapid Rewards Elite Member

Frontier says the deal is open to any tier of Rapid Rewards Elite member. For the $40 fee, the Frontier Miles Elite Gold status is valid through the remainder of 2025 and comes with all of the benefits immediately. Flyers will get a free carry-on bag, priority boarding in Zone 1, priority customer care, and free preferred seat selection. Elite members also get eligible for upgrades to premium seating, including their UpFront Plus seats.

“Frontier already offers the best value in the sky, and now consumers looking for their new airline of choice can enjoy even more benefits as they plan their 2025 travel,” Jeff Werkheiser, senior director of brand and customer engagement at Frontier Airlines, said in a statement. “We love rewarding our most loyal customers with perks that make traveling even more comfortable and seamless, and can’t wait for new FRONTIER Miles Elite Gold members to begin enjoying a free carry-on bag, priority boarding and more right away.”

To take advantage of the offer, flyers need to visit frontier.getstatus.com by April 30, and provide proof of their Southwest status.
