Air France – KLM Flying Blue Buy Miles At Up To 45% Off Until April 30, 2025

Air-France-Plane

Air France – KLM’s Flying Blue has launched its second miles sale of 2025 at up to a 45% discount, valid for purchases made through April 30.

Flying Blue elite members can purchase up to 300,000 miles per transaction before the possible bonus, and others 100,000. There is no limit on the number of miles elite members can buy yearly.

You can access Flying Blue’s page to buy miles here.

Price in Euros with 45% discount:

A Flying Blue mile under the 80% bonus is 1.38 euro cents each. In late 2022, there was a 120% bonus sale when the price was as low as 1.14 cents. There are 100% bonuses or 50% off sales a few times a year.

You need to click the “Manage my Miles” tab on Flying Blue’s website to see the option to purchase them.

Flying Blue has monthly Promo Awards sale at 25% to 50% off using miles:

Air France-KLM Flying Blue has updated its latest promotional awards for April. These awards are valid for travel through September 30, 2025, and must be booked by the end of this month.

The maximum discount is 25% off the required miles (although sometimes the rebate can be 50%).

You can access Flying Blue’s web page for promotional awards here.

Miles Sales

Flying Blue frequently sells miles with a 100% to 120% bonus. You can check if your account is eligible for any current offers here. You can also subscribe to have miles deposited into your account at a reasonably low monthly price (read more here—and access here).

Remember to use the award calendar to check one month at a time:

Short/Medium Haul

Long-Haul

You can also book these one way. These are not only for flights originating from Europe, as all the long-haul destinations are valid in both directions. Flying Blue used to divide Europe into zones 1, 2, and 3 but seems to use the designation EUROPE for all these from now on.

Note that Europe should include all the following countries for long-haul awards:

Europe 1
Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxembourg

Europe 2
Austria, Balearic Islands, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Malta, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden

Europe 3
Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Canary Islands, Croatia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Libya, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Morocco, Poland, Romania, West Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine.

Flying Blue has changed the taxes and mainly fuel surcharges it collects for award tickets, making economy awards a better deal than they used to be. In addition, the fuel surcharge that Air France-KLM now calls a “carrier-imposed international surcharge” is capped for premium economy, business, and first-class flights.

Conclusion

Flying Blue promotes these economy promo rewards from the US to keep their miles sale/conversion promotions going (and cash flowing in).

The Europe to/from Bogota is a decent business option for 64K miles, but I don’t see anything else even mildly exciting on the list this time.

Reward ticket conditions:

No Miles or XP can be earned on reward tickets.

Reward tickets are subject to airport and security taxes and carrier surcharges. These taxes and surcharges are not covered by Miles and must be paid separately.

Only Platinum members can use reward tickets to book in La Premiere (First class). Availability in La Premiere is limited to 1 reward ticket per flight.

You’ll need to contact customer service to book if you are travelling with an infant (under the age of 2) and for minors travelling alone.

Reward tickets are subject to the operating airline’s general conditions of carriage.

Promo rewards are subject to availability. Displayed Miles prices for Long Haul promo destinations are for flights from/to Europe, the lowest possible price from/to any European destination is shown.

Conclusion

Flying Blue miles come in handy at times (the easiest way to book awards is to use their app).

They are also the only way to access Air France’s first-class La Premiere cabin (you need to be a Platinum or Ultimate member), as it is not available using partner programs.

Some business awards are rather competitively priced, and Flying Blue now allows stopovers on awards (read more here). However, the number of miles required for awards has recently changed (read more here), so check before you buy!
